4 months.

It's hard to believe that it has been over 4 months now that we have been out here. Still waiting on a house. I have been calling weekly now to check on the status. They are working on applications from November...we are February. We still have a while. Unfortunately. For the past few days our cousins have been back in the valley so I go to their house to cook dinner (because our fridge is unreliable at best) and chill in the coolness of an air conditioned house (swamp coolers are better than the little unit we have). Drew loves coming home to a house instead of the trailer. I commented that I liked the fridge (that works well!!) with an ice maker the best. He said he likes being able to sit on the couch and not see the entire place at one time. :) Our time will come.

Since I last updated, I finished school at Duncan for the summer. I thought it would be harder to have so much time on my hands, but I have happily found many things to do!

Here are a few randoms before school ended that I haven't posted.

The garden growing.

Keep reading for more updates. Keeping things in chronological order.

We took a drive on a scenic road across the Black Hills. It was so pretty. You could see so much from up there!!

Cow in the road. No big thing.

Took this for my sis. It was kinda strange to see it so green!
Smoke from the fire in New Mexico. It looked like a volcano blowing up!

Just a typical day in the trailer park...a canon across the street???

Our first day after school we hopped on a plane to Chicago to participate in our great friends wedding. I didn't get to take many pictures of this but here are a few of Sarah. :) She was soooo pretty!
G and I in the limo!

So pretty!! What a happy day!
Not only did we get to celebrate with Sarah, I got to spend over a week with my grandma. Since my grandpa died in January, time with my grandma is so precious to me! This was probably the longest time I spend with her in a really long time. I LOVED IT! We had such a great time. I saw my grandpa's head stone for the first time.
This is my great uncle's grave. We put out arrangements for Memorial day. They got an American flag and a Polish flag.

My sister's neighbor told us about this little thing that any veteran can get put on their stone. He is the only one near him that has it.

What a good guy. I miss him everyday.

The flowers for grandpa. They can't go right next to his stone, so we put them in the flower area.
The flag out front for Memorial Day.

We went to the parade one street over from my grandmas. Planes flew over.

My grandpa graduated from this high school. I was wearing a cubs shirt that day (red, white, and blue). The guy on this float yelled into his horn thingy "What did Jesus tell the Cubs before he died? Don't do anything til I get back!" :(

Flag going by.
We went through old pictures and found this hottie...my aunt from when she was in college.

Nicole and I in Florida. Cade wore an outfit of similar design (not the pattern) and it made me laugh.

So my sister might kill me if she sees this, but isn't she a cutie??!!! Yikes...
My grandma had tons of pictures to go through. It was quite the trip down memory lane!

Another silly one of my sister. Haha. Of course I didn't take the silly ones of me.

My aunt Dorthy in school (the middle one). I think we look a lot a like in this picture.

My grandpa the stud in his high school year book (the left one).
While I was in Indiana, I was so happy to get to go to Indy to help Alison's sister Casie through a baby shower for Alison. Again, I don't have many pictures from that day, but I have pictures of the oneies I made for her. I also got to sleep in the nursery. :) I set a good example for Colin to follow! I was so happy to be back in Indy with Alison!! I went to the school to see if anyone was there but no luck. It was such a great time!! P.S. Alison, I still need that recipe for the mac and cheese and the potatoes!
Monster

Rocket ship

Go Colts!!

Turkey

Formal tie.

Lightning bolt for Harry Potter

My personal fav and the hardest one because I cut out all the letters free form and by hand! So worth it!
A walk on the beach/harbor one night with my momma. Grandma sat on the bench.

Compensating for something?? Yikes.

My grandma had Pacifico on hand for Drew. He wasn't there long enough to enjoy any so I did with my favorite pizza place in the entire world. My mouth waters just thinking about it...
I was so happy to have spent so much time there!! I was so lucky to have the time to do so. My mom and dad came up for the weekend. My dad had to go back to work but my mom got to stay for 10 days (about 5 days with me there) and was my date to another college roommate, Amanda's wedding. Another beautiful bride!! What pretty friends I have!!

I was sad to come back to Arizona. But now that I'm back and in the swing of things, life is good.

Got my hairs cut.

Garden is getting huge. A few peppers on the vine. Some zucchini. A melon.

Got to see our babies! Chewing a bone.

Socially awkward Abby girl. Love her.

Yummy. Met Nancy downtown for lunch before heading back to Morenci.
Well this is a pretty solid update on our lives right now. Nothing super exciting. But that's us. :) Drew is in the middle of "hell week" (3 days, day off, 3 nights). I'm getting more and more kids everyday to see and end up driving about 200 miles a week. Eek.

Thanks for stopping by and reading about our lives. Hope you have a great day!
